CCraigmillar
The zone is situated between Greendykes Road, Craigmillar Castle Road, and Niddrie Mains Road. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 06 June 2005 and 08 July 2005. A total of 1752 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 0 responses. The traffic calming features were constructed in February 2006.

CPortobello
The zone is situated between The Promenade, Portobello High Street and Joppa Road. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 14 February 2005 and 13 March 2005. A total of 1994 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 11 responses as follows: 3 in agreement, 4 representations and 4 objections. The traffic calming features were constructed in June 2005.

CAbbeyhill
The zone is situated between Royal Park Terrace, Spring Gardens, Abbey Lane, Lower London Road and Meadowbank. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 08 February 2005 and 07 March 2005. A total of 1800 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 8 responses as follows: 4 in agreement, 2 representations and 2 objections. The traffic calming features were constructed in June 2005. The flat top 'crossing point' tables in the vicinity of primary school were constructed in January 2006.

CMagdalene
The zone is situated between Magdalene Gardens, Duddingston Park South, Milton Road and Milton Link. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 19 April 2005 and 20 May 2005. A total of 1159 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 1 response as follows: 1 representation. The traffic calming features were constructed in September 2005 and the Traffic Regulation Order to formally make all the roads in the zone subject to a 20mph limit was advertised on 07 July 2006.

CMountcastle & Duddingston
MOUNTCATLE - The zone is situated between Duddingston Road and Milton Road West. Consultation on the proposd measures was undertaken between the 26 September 2008 and 26 October 2008. A total of 62 explanatory leaflets were delivered within the zone area, which generated 23 responses as follows: 7 in favour and 16 objections. The traffic calming features were built in early December 2008.

DUDDINGSTON - The zone is situated between Park Avenue and Duddingston Park, Duddingston Park, Mountcastle Drive South, Milton Road West and Duddingston Road, Duddingston Road and Hamilton Drive and in the vicinity of Hamilton Drive West. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 19 April 2005 and 20 May 2005. A total of 1121 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 32 responses as follows: 6 in agreement, 15 representations and 11 objections. The traffic calming features were constructed in November-December 2005.

CLochend Drive
The Lochend zone is situated between Sleigh Drive, Restalrig Road, Marionville Road and Lochend Road South. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 6 October 2008 and 6 November 2008. A total of 127 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 1 response as follows: 1 objection. The traffic calming features were constructed during early December 2008.

CNorthfield
The zone is situated between Willowbrae Road, Portobello Road and Northfield Broadway; also including Piershill Squares East and West. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 19 April 2005 and 20 May 2005. A total of 1242 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 11 responses as follows: 4 in agreement, 4 representations and 3 objections. The traffic calming features were constructed during October-November 2005.

CNorthfield Farm
The zone is situated between Mountcastle Crescent, Figgate Burn, Duddingston Road, Willowbrae Road and Northfield Broadway. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 19 April 2005 and 20 May 2005. A total of 1533 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 9 responses as follows: 2 in agreement, 5 representations and 2 objections. The traffic calming features were constructed during October-November 2005 and the Traffic Regulation Order to formally make all the roads in the zone subject to a 20mph limit was advertised on 23 June 2006.

CBrand Drive
The zone is situated west of Sir Harry Lauder Road and north of Milton Road. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 06 June 2005 and 08 July 2005. A total of 337 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 1 response as follows: 1 representation. The traffic calming features were constructed during January-February 2006.

CBingham
This zone is situated between Milton Road West, Duddingston Park South, Duddingston Golf Course and the south suburban rail line. Please click on the link below to view the consultation plan. A total of 1050 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area on the 1st of June 2007. The 4 week consultation period ended on the 29th of June 2007 and of the 11% of people who responded, 92% voted in favour of the scheme and 8% objected. The traffic calming features were constructed at the beginning of 2008.

CLiberton & Moredun
LIBERTON/KIRKGATE/MOUNT VERNON ROAD - The Council received a request from the Scottish Ambulance Service to convert the existing traffic calming on Liberton/Kirkgate/Mount Vernon Road areas to speed cushions. A Consultation was carried out and the results were referred to the Transport Infrastructure & Environment (TIE) Committee on 25th November 2008. The decision of this committee was to support the views of the majority of the local residents in Liberton Drive and that the proposal to convert the existing road humps to speed cushions should not be pursued. The committee decided to proceed with the proposals in Kirkgate and Mount Vernon Road. A copy of the report submitted to the committee can be viewed by going to www.edinburgh.gov.uk/cpol/Link/index.html. Click on the 'Go to Committee Search' button and search for the TIE Committee 25 November 2008. The existing road humps on the Kirkgate and Mount Vernon Road were converted to speed cushions in early December 2008.

MOREDUN - The boundaries of the zone are Moredunvale Road, Gilmerton Road, Moredun Park Road, Craigour Avenue and Craigour Drive. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 06 January 2006 and 03 February 2006. A total of 2030 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 5 responses as follows: 2 representations and 3 objections. The traffic calming features were constructed in March 2006. As the works in this area were to install additional traffic calming features within an existing mandatory 20mph zone, no further Traffic Regulation Orders are required to be promoted and consulted on.

NNiddrie Mill
This zone is situated between Niddrie Mains Road and Duddingston Park South. A total of 312 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area on 16 March 2010, which generated 49 responses as follows; 46 in favour, 3 objections. The results of this consultation were refered to the Transport Infrastructure and Environment (TIE) Committee on 4 May 2010. The committee decided to proceed with the construction of this scheme. A copy of the report submitted to the committee can be viewed by going to www.edinburgh.gov.uk/cpol/Link/index.html Click on the 'Go to Committee Search' button and search for the TIE Committee of 4 May 2010. It is anticipated that this work will be carried out during the Autumn of 2010.
