Saughton/Saughton Mains
Sighthill/Parkhead
The zone is situated between Calder Road, Wester Hailes Road, Murrayburn Road and Longstone Road. The Sighthill section of this zone is located to the west of Sighthill Avenue and the Parkhead section of this zone is located to the east of Sighthill Avenue. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 07 March 2005 and 03 April 2005. A total of 1918 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 7 responses as follows: 1 in agreement and 6 representations. The traffic calming features were constructed during September and October 2005.

Sighthill North
The zone is situated between Calder Road, Sighthill Public Park, Broomhouse Road and Sighthill Court. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 08 September and 12 October 2005. A total of 489 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated zero responses. The traffic calming features were constructed in February 2006.

Westburn
The zone is situated between Wester Hailes Road, Westburn Avenue and A720 City of Edinburgh Bypass. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 07 March 2005 and 03 April 2005. A total of 922 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 1 response as follows: 1 representation. The traffic calming features were constructed in August 2005.

Stenhouse
The zone is situated between Stenhouse Crescent, Stenhouse Drive, Stevenson Drive and Stenhouse Avenue. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 14 February 2005 and 13 March 2005. A total of 372 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 3 responses as follows: 1 in agreement and 2 objections. The traffic calming features were constructed in May 2005.

Longstone
The zone is situated between Kingsknowe Road North, Kingsknowe Public Park, Longstone Road and Redhall Gardens. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 07 March 2005 and 03 April 2005. A total of 654 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 3 responses as follows: 3 representations. The traffic calming features were constructed in August 2005.

Wester Hailes
The zone is situated between Wester Hailes Drive, Wester Hailes Park and Clovenstone Road. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 07 March 2005 and 03 April 2005. A total of 938 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 0 responses. The traffic calming features were constructed in October 2005.

Saughton/Saughton Mains
The zone is situated north of Calder Road and west of Saughton Road, bounded south east by Stenhouse Drive. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 08 June 2005 and 08 July 2005. A total of 1980 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 2 responses as follows: 1 in agreement and 1 representation. The traffic calming features were constructed in January 2006.

Clovenstone
The zone is situated between Clovenstone Road and Wester Hailes Road. Consultation on the proposed measures was undertaken between 6 October 2008 and 6 November 2008. A total of 931 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area, which generated 1 response as follows: 1 objection. The traffic calming features were constructed between December 2008 and January 2009.

Dean Park
This zone takes in Deanpark Brae, Deanpark Avenue and Deanpark Court. A total of 185 explanatory leaflets were delivered to households within the zone area on 22 April 2010, which generated 31 responses as follows: 19 in favour and 12 objections. The results of this consultation were referred to the Transport Infrastructure and Environment (TIE) Committee on 27 July 2010. The committee decided to proceed with the construction of this scheme. A copy of the report submitted to the committee can be viewed by going to www.edinburgh.go.uk/cpol/Link/index.html Click on the 'Go to Committee Search' button and search for the TIE Committee of 27 July 2010. It is anticipated that the work will be carried out during the spring of 2011.
